About the role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Educational Visits Officer to assist and support the work of Rochdale Borough Council s Educational Visit Advisers, who collectively form the Educational Visits Advisory Service. The primary function of the Educational Visits Advisory Service is to provide guidance, training and support for school staff and others in planning educational visits and off-site activities with young people, and to monitor schools arrangements with regard to educational visits on behalf of the Employer. The role of Educational Visits Officer is varied, including both office based and outdoor work with school staff from Rochdale and other areas. About you You must be able to work well as part of a team, be flexible in your approach and communicate well at all levels. Candidates must be able to demonstrate their ability to work using their own initiative and meet deadlines by being able to work efficiently and accurately. Duties will include: Providing administrative support Organising and supporting training Assisting with loading and unloading equipment Raising invoices through the finance system Applicants should be aware of the requirement to travel within the borough and be available to attend meetings during the evenings and weekend, if required.
