A fantastic opportunity to work across both of Moss Groves surgeries, one being based in Kingswinford and the other in Kinver, whilst also undertaking a Business Admin qualification.
Hours: Between 8.00am and 6.00pm, varying shifts and days across the week, totaling 37 hours a week.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
* Receive patients in a polite and courteous manner
* Keep GPs/Nurses informed as to non-attenders
* Facilitate the effective flow of patients through to GPs/Nurses, keeping patients fully informed at all times of delays
* Deal with telephone appointment bookings/enquiries
* Maintain confidentiality at all times within the reception area
* Ensure reception area is always tidy at the end of each surgery
* Liaise with other receptionists, updating them with any changes/problems regarding the appointments system
* Facilitate an efficient and effective computerized appointment system, reporting any problems to the reception manager/IT facilitator
* Liaise with the reception manager regarding foreseeable problems with GP appointment times/need for locums
* Assist with routine computer work during quieter periods as directed by the reception manager
* Assist in the running of the annual Flu/Covid vaccination campaigns
* Ensure security of visitors by completing the visitors book and issuing badges appropriately
* Work as an effective team member
* Ensure computer security by logging out from the computer when not in use
* Use email as the first line of communication across the practice
* Maintain electronic patient records in line with the needs of a paper-light environment
* Complete/update the message book at the end of each shift as part of handover process to other receptionists
* Keep accurate records of any lost property
* Ensure all consent forms for student/registrar appointments are completed correctly
* Take personal responsibility for information security and confidentiality
* Work flexibly and assist with additional hours, as reasonably required, at busy times
* Be part of a late-night rota to cover extended hours surgery, as required
* Photocopy and laminate as required
* Update internal telephone numbers list
* Frank daily mail and take it to the Post Office
* Input patient data onto EMIS system from new registration paperwork and scan onto EMIS system
* Ensure all practice deductions are carried out in a timely manner
