The role: As a geo-data company, Fugro has complex workflows from sample and data acquisition through to data processing and delivery of various reporting services to customers. We are looking for a candidate who will join us in the crucial role of Regional Head of Geotechnical Laboratories to assist and enable Fugro’s geotechnical laboratories to maximise their full potential. Further aspects of this newly created position will include - You will play a critical role in meeting the group's goals and quality, productivity and employee satisfaction targets by being accountable for the team results. You will also have an important impact on extensive engineering/geo-science activities. Who we’re seeking: The ideal candidate will have experience of geotechnical laboratory processes and will have an academic background related to Earth Science. You will be comfortable managing a group of Senior Geo-data Engineers/Scientists/Consultants and/or Supervisors/Team Leads and/or large, complex operations teams. Ideally you will have experience in full management authority such as decisions regarding pay and terminations. You will be comfortable collaborating with different domain experts, business representatives, solution architects and you will lead engineers to define the business and technology vision of your workflow. The successful candidate will have prior experience in utilising experience of the geotechnical laboratory workflow to ensure digitalisation initiatives are developed in accordance with Fugro’s Global strategy. You will have previously been involved with utilising technical knowledge of software, architecture and programming language to ensure developed products are fit-for-purpose and aligned with Fugro’s IT, infrastructure and security protocols.
