Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
Do you have an interest in mental health, compassion for others and work well with people? Would you like to support a team of people delivering psychological interventions to people with common mental health problems in primary care? This Assistant Practitioner is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a progressive and high achieving Talking Therapies service.
The Western Cheshire Talking Therapies Service is seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills to join our well established, innovative, and successful Talking Therapies team.
The Trust currently supports the Real Living Wage (RLW) hourly rate as set by the Living Wage Federation and will apply a pay supplement if the national A4C hourly rate falls below this.
Main duties of the job
The Assistant Practitioner role in Talking Therapies has recently been introduced to provide non-clinical support to Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners and is an excellent opportunity for any applicant who wishes to pursue a career within Primary Care Mental Health. The role is unique in that it is tailor made to strengthen the delivery of the Talking Therapies Step 2 service. It has developed over a number of years and is continually evolving to meet changing service demands.
Assistant Practitioners work under the direction of our qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWP). Their level of training and experience means Assistant Practitioners can often work alone, without supervision, referring to a professional for guidance when necessary.
