Workplace Safety Trainer

At DP World, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Workplace Safety Trainer at our site in Bicester. Our successful candidate will be responsible for executing trainings in the Quality and EHS processes including operational training requirements and standards. This Trainer will ensure full support is given to EHS, Quality and Operations team.
Location: Bicester
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
How you will contribute
1. Effectively deliver company standards regarding operational areas
2. Participate in employee training related to QHSE based on company standards
3. Implement 5s standards and conduct regular audits to ensure the standards are met
4. Deliver training during the onboarding process for new employees regarding QEHS standards
5. Provide cover and support to the Supervising Manager in respect of all QEHS training
6. Liaise with all departments of the company and ensure smooth cooperation
7. Cooperate in the training and development of senior staff and management
8. Provide advice and service to management on training and education
9. Support and collaborate with the HR department
10. Collaborate in the training of employees as well as in the preparation of new employees for their work to ensure QEHS standards are achieved
11. Process PO requisitions for site
12. Liaise with procurement for preferred supplier list
13. Manage the Business Amazon account
What you will bring
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience of a training function within a warehouse environment is desirable.
* A sound knowledge of manual handling techniques to assessor level is desirable.
* Ability to work on your own initiative, working to strict deadlines.
* A flexible approach to teamwork is essential.
* Knowledge of health and safety and willingness to learn.
* Ability to communicate and deal with a variety of people.
SKILLS:
* Good Communication skills – Effectively communicate at all levels
* Problem solving – Understanding operational needs and being able to provide solutions
* Attention to Detail - strong attention to the details as it is one of your core qualities.
* Confidentiality - You consider and protect the confidentiality of company data at ALL times;
* IT skills - You are proficient in the full Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP and Visio;
* Languages – Fluent speaking and written English
