The role
will involve gathering and assessing data to create a product carbon footprint using a Life Cycle Assessment software tool, to thoroughly understand source of carbon emissions and potentially highlighting opportunities for design decarbonization within a product lifecycle, looking at material selection, manufacturing processes, and energy consumption.
About the Role:
1. Duration: 8 – 10 weeks, provisionally starting July8th, 2024
2. Salary: £22,300 per year pro rata.
3. Benefits: 25 days pro rata paid holiday + UK bank holidays, employee assist program and more.
4. Locations: Malvern (Worcestershire)or Bristol.
5. Full-time position, 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday (with options for flexibility).
6. Hybrid working, based on your tasks.
Qualifications:
7. Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in an applicable subject.
8. Right to work and live in the UK for the duration of the placement.
9. Passion for sustainability, and an interest in the real-world sustainability challenges.
10. Ability to problem solve and think creatively.
11. Curiosity and a desire to learn – the projects will be interdisciplinary, working with a mixture of scientists and engineers across different subject areas.
12. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
