What you'll be doing:
* Set a positive example by maintaining a consistently safe and efficient workplace.
* Oversee and assign technician workloads effectively.
* Ensure company quality standards are met, satisfying both internal and external customers.
* Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure targets are achieved.
* Conduct team briefs focused on quality, cost, and delivery, and gather ideas for improvement.
* Manage workshop calibration and maintenance according to schedules.
* Provide training to apprentices as needed.
* Drive team performance by offering direction and feedback to enhance performance.
* Maintain safe working practices and adhere to 'Standard Operations'.
* Address non-conformance issues and implement countermeasures.
* Motivate the team to foster a high-performance culture that embraces improvement suggestions.
* Assist in implementing engineering changes, production trials, model changes, and pilot builds.
* Report and take action on plant or machinery breakdowns.
* Collaborate closely with the QEHS department on any issues.
* Ensure internal delivery processes are followed to support dispatch.
And this is what you'll need:
* Extensive experience and a proven track record in manufacturing supervision.
* Proven experience of continuous improvement and problem-solving.
* Comprehension of production costs, including waste, downtime, scrap, and rework would be advantageous.
* Any experience in mechanical fitting would be advantageous.
