What you'll be doing
1. Caseload Management : Handle a caseload of small and fast-track network damage claims from pre-litigation to conclusion.
2. Team Contribution : Support team recovery targets by achieving cash collection and aged debt reduction goals.
3. Negotiation : Work with external lawyers, insurers, loss adjusters, and customers to negotiate satisfactory resolutions for claims.
4. Quality Standards : Maintain high work standards while being efficient, supportive, and cost-effective.
Skills and Experience
5. Litigation Experience : Proven track record of handling volume litigation independently.
6. Legal Knowledge : Familiarity with Civil Procedure Rules and experience in drafting statements of case and witness statements.
7. Hearing Preparation : Experience preparing for and attending final hearings.
8. Data Protection Knowledge : Understanding of GDPR/Data Protection Act 2018 as it applies to Openreach.
9. Communication Skills : Excellent communication and engagement skills with a focus on delivering strong customer outcomes.
10. Technical Proficiency : Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
11. Time Management : Ability to multi-task and work effectively under demanding timescales.
12. Proactive Mindset : Self-managing individual who thrives on proactive thinking.
