Job Title: Maintenance Electrician
Location: Midlands (Various Locations)
Salary: £38,000 + Van and Fuel Card
Job Description:
Mainstay Recruitment are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Electrician to join our clients team in the Midlands area. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a keen attention to detail, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of electrical systems in commercial and professional environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine electrical maintenance (PPMs and Reactives)
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve electrical issues to minimise downtime and ensure safe operation.
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks, including inspections, testing, and replacements.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with relevant safety regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
• Respond to emergency electrical breakdowns and repairs promptly.
• Assist in electrical installations, modifications, and upgrades for ongoing projects.
• Work closely with other maintenance staff, engineers, and contractors to achieve operational goals.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and repairs.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times, promoting a safe working environment.
• Participate in on-call rota when required.
Key Requirements:
• Fully qualified Electrician (City & Guilds 2365, 2330, or equivalent).
• 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive attitude with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Full UK driving license
Desirable Skills/Experience:
• Previous experience working in facilities management and commercial sites.
