About the Role: As a SEN Learning Support, you will be instrumental in fostering the academic and personal growth of students with special educational needs. Your role will involve providing tailored support to ensure an inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed. SEN Learning Support Responsibilities: Provide tailored one-on-one and group support to students with SEN, ensuring their individual learning needs are met. Assist in planning and delivering personalised learning programmes in collaboration with teachers and support staff. Create a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters student confidence, self-esteem, and independence. Track and document student progress, offering valuable feedback to teachers and parents. Help manage classroom dynamics, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning space. Work closely with the SEN team to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Prepare and organise learning materials to support effective lesson delivery. Encourage positive behaviour and help students develop essential social and emotional skills. SEN Learning Support Job Requirements: Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Learning Support are highly advantageous. Experience working with students with SEN in a school or educational setting is essential. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach, with a passion for supporting students with SEN to reach their full potential. Flexibility and adaptability to respond effectively to individual student needs. Good understanding of various SEN conditions, including autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties. A current CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained) and an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
