A primary school in the OL16 area are currently looking to recruit a talented individual for the role of SEN Support Assistant to provide exciting, educational experiences to pupils across KS1 and KS2. This school works closely alongside parents, students and the community with the intention of achieving solid, trusted relationships. Many of their students possess unique talents and abilities which the provision successfully promotes and nurtures. This role would be 8.30am-3.30pm Monday – Friday, term time only until the end of the academic year (July 2025). Relevant qualifications are preferred (e.g. Level 2/ Level 3 education-based qualification) however not essential.
Within this role, you will be expected to create positive relationships with pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities and encourage positive choices and behaviour. You will be expected to provide support within the classes and work collaboratively with other SEN support TAs and class teachers, getting involved in core and foundation subjects to support those children with additional learning needs.
Whether you have experience supporting individuals with SEN in a different capacity, you are a recent graduate looking for experience in specialist role, an individual with prior experience in support/care work or have supported children with additional needs then this is the perfect role for you! However, the school are keen to consider a variety of staff so previous experience is preferred, but not essential.
