Up to £40,000 dependent on experience We’ve an exciting opportunity to join our People team at AXA UK as an Employee Relations Partner on a 12 month fixed term contract. You’ll provide expert advice, guidance, coaching and support to our people leaders across the spectrum of Employee Relations with a particular emphasis on case management. You’ll ensure people leaders build capability and confidence, so they’re empowered to deal with any issues quickly. You’ll pro-actively identify potential ER hot spots or trends within AXA, taking appropriate steps to address these. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home at your local office, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you’ll be doing: Provide expert advice to resolve ER queries and cases pragmatically, in line with the requirements of the business area, engaging relevant stakeholders as appropriate. Manage cases through to conclusion where litigation proceedings commence by working with key internal (business, People team & Group Legal) and external (ACAS, Employment Law team) stakeholders to ensure the optimum resolution is achieved. Develop capability through a collaborative and consultative approach, providing coaching and learning interventions on key risk areas. Produce, analyse and communicate MI where key trends and risks are identified. Work with People Business Partners to pro-actively identify, recommend and implement solutions. Review and create new people policies, procedures and practices, in consultation with our internal stakeholders, People team and Legal Advisers. Making recommendations and implementing changes to ensure ER policies help to achieve business goals. Provide technical expertise across the areas of TUPE transfers, organisational design, restructures, harmonisation and AXA Group People team initiatives. Demonstrable experience in ER, either through a technical ER background or generalist HR advisory work. Ability to proactively manage litigation, agreeing strategies and negotiating with external parties. Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills. Provide coaching and feedback in a constructive manner, enabling continuous improvement. Strong written communication skills, including correspondence with accuracy and sensitivity. Build trusted relationships and deliver a service that exceeds and shapes customers’ expectations.
