This is an integral role within the street works team, reporting to the Streetworks Manager, assisting in the delivery of the business goals by submitting permits to the local authority and managing the day to day running of the permits.
Working with LDPs, you will ensure compliance with NRSWA requirements, for the planning and completion of works, to comply with Permit and Noticing legislation by Local Authorities and Highways England.
Accountable for day to day management of permit applications, monitoring start closure, inputting amendments adding comments and responding to challenges. All to meet the requirements of the NRSWA 1974.
Key Responsibilities:
* Submitting permits to the local authorities
* Collating and distributing starts and closure reports via email.
* Chasing the LDP on any due starts, closures or possible extensions required.
* Collating and distributing comments & challenges report via email.
* submitting any variations to the permit via SAP
* uploading documents to street manager i.e. TM Applications & CADs
* Attend planning meetings as and when necessary.
* Collaborate with other co-ordinators to share insights, experiences, and best practices.
* Attend regular meetings via teams with the planning department discuss any challenges and opportunities.
* liaise with Local Authorities and LDPs
Person Specification:
* Good level of general education
* Previous experience in similar to Sreetworks roles or organisations.
* A genuine interest in Streetworks and the utility industry.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally.
* A collaborative mindset with the ability to work well within a team.
* Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage your own workload and establish priorities.
* Strong decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure situations
* Self-motivated and able to learn quickly
* Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy
* Willingness to undertake further training as required.
* Valid Streetworks card: Desirable
