Teaching Personnel are seeking a special needs assistant in Littlehampton, to start in October 2024 to work Full-Time.
This position is working 1:1 with a child who has severe ASC, who is nonverbal in Year 3 – accessing early stages of reception curriculum.
What the school is looking for in you:
1. 2 years of experience working with ASC non-verbal children.
2. Ability to communicate by sign language - MAKATON, PECs, and Core boards.
3. Understanding of the SEND system in the UK.
4. Good spoken and written English - communication with parents, professionals, and colleagues. Writing daily reports to parents, updating IEPs and annual review documents.
