On behalf of our client, a well-established law firm located in Kilmarnock, we are seeking a diligent and detail-focused Legal Cashier for a part-time position. Previous experience in a legal cashier position, along with a SOLAS qualification, is required. Reporting to the partner, your key responsibilities will include: Processing financial transactions Conducting daily and monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring all payments are accurately recorded Processing invoices and disbursements for legal services Preparing monthly and year-end financial reports Monitoring client accounts for irregularities and reporting any discrepancies Managing incoming and outgoing CHAPS, BACS payments through online banking Processing petty cash payments and expenses Ensure compliance with the Law society of Scotland accounts rules and other relevant regulations Handling general account queries Assisting with other legal finance-related tasks as needed by the team. Skills & Experience: Proficient in legal accounting software (preferably Denovo) SOLAS qualification Solid understanding of legal finance compliance Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills The position will cover 15 – 20 hour per week.
