Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Play a major role in implementing Lean Manufacturing within all areas of the business.
2. Analysing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment placement to maximise manufacturing efficiency.
3. Analysing and reporting on production processes, methods, schedules, downtime, cycle times, availability of machines and waste management.
4. Provide leadership, direction, and strategy to key stakeholders to improve manufacturing processes.
5. Project manage process enhancements.
6. Make operational decisions and carry out cost/benefit analysis with key stakeholders.
7. Maintain and follow-up on action plan(s).
8. Develop documentation to support production (work instructions, flow charts, procedures, routings).
9. Ensure compliance to New Product Introduction process.
10. Manage New Product Introduction projects with internal stakeholders to meet customer requirements.
11. Establish an effective work sequence for new products.
12. Specify and manage the introduction of new plant and equipment.
13. Buy off new plant and equipment to ensure it meets requirements (may involve travel).
14. Evaluating quality control processes and making recommendations for improvements.
15. Be a key player in resolving yield issues.
16. Ensure that all customer quality requirements are complied with during manufacture.
17. Drive unresolved problems to the appropriate groups.
18. Liaise with Customers and Suppliers to resolve any issues or complaints, ensuring timely & effective corrective actions are agreed, implemented, and monitored.
19. Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with relevant policies and government laws and regulations.
20. Any other duties which may be necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role.
Skills:
Degree in Engineering, Process Auditing Experience, Knowledge of 8D, FMEA, Control Plan, APQP, PPAP
