To learn all aspects of shipping and freight forwarding in order to deliver first-class customer service. This could develop into finance or sales as the apprenticeship develops.
The role will initially be focused on customer service, which is key to the growth of the business. Over the term of the apprenticeship, all aspects of domestic and international shipping will be learned, thus becoming a shipping expert.
Initial daily duties will include:
1. Answering inbound customer calls and emails
2. Tracking shipments
3. Booking shipments
4. Making outbound calls to carriers (e.g., DHL, FedEx)
5. Providing and following up on quotes
6. General admin & sales support
