Reception/Year 1 Teacher – Full Summer Term Contract (Tavistock Area)
Are you an experienced and passionate teacher looking for a rewarding role in a welcoming primary school? Teaching Personnel is seeking a Reception/Year 1 Teacher to join a fantastic school in the Tavistock area for the full summer term (April – July). This is initially a temporary position, but there is the potential for extension for the right candidate.
About the Role:

* Year Group: Reception/Year 1
* Contract: Full Time Initially temporary, with potential for extension
* Salary: Based on current pay scale and experience

Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the EYFS and KS1 curriculum
* Differentiate teaching to support pupils with SEN and varying learning needs
* Assess and track pupil progress, providing feedback and reports to parents and colleagues
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment to support young learners
* Work closely with support staff, SENCO, and other professionals to provide tailored support
* Maintain effective classroom management and behaviour strategies
What We’re Looking For:
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – preferably with ECT years completed
* Experience working with SEN pupils and a strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies
* A nurturing and enthusiastic approach to teaching young learners
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage pupils effectively

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
