37.5 hours per week.
We are working closely with the Devon ICB on the longer term model and permanent funding of this service as this is a priority area within the Devon system.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced general or mental health nurse to work as part of a brand new, eating disorder physical health monitoring, outpatient clinic.
You will be involved right from the beginning of this exciting, newly commissioned service, being able to influence and develop the offering, alongside the team manager and other colleagues.
You will work face to face with people who use our services on a daily basis, ensuring that they receive outstanding, safe care, providing assessment, monitoring and advice.
You will work within the eating disorder pathway and have the opportunity to work with colleagues in other services to ensure continuity of care.
As a senior member of staff, you will be able to work as a leader, providing support to junior staff, students and others, offering excellent clinical leadership skills.
Working as part of a small service, you will get to work in a multidisciplinary team alongside other clinical staff including nursing and support staff and a general practitioner.
All Livewell staff are expected to be able and willing to work across a 7-day service.

Main Duties of the Job
Clinical Care:
* Conduct comprehensive physical health assessments.
* Develop and implement individualised care plans where required.
* Monitor and manage complications related to eating disorders.
* Provide patient education on nutrition and health.
* Provide signposting where required.
Patient Monitoring:
* Regularly monitor physical health indicators, including weight and BMI.
* Conduct routine blood tests and diagnostic procedures as necessary.
* Identify and respond to signs of physical deterioration.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration:
* Work with colleagues within the team and across Livewell to ensure the highest standards of care, collaborating and working alongside other Livewell services, primary care and VCSE.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
Line Management:
* Supervise and support junior staff, including healthcare assistants.
* Assist in training and development of staff.
* Conduct appraisals and line management, in line with Livewell policy.
Leadership and Professional Development:
* Act as a role model and leader within the clinical team.
* Stay updated with the latest research and developments.
* Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications Essential:
* Registered mental health or general nurse with at least two years' experience.

* Knowledge of eating disorders subtypes, ED care pathway, evidence-based recommended treatments, initiatives within the ED community, assessment of physical risk, and evidence base around this.
