Role
We are looking for an experienced Demand and Supply Planner to join our Operations Team, the right candidate will have a strong growth mindset, experience of large company best practice and thrives in a small company, agile environment.
Reporting to the Operations Director, as the Demand and Supply Planner, you will own the forecasting and stock management process, ensuring that you are supporting the commercial strategy and vision through the delivery of accurate SKU/channel level forecast taking into account information from key stakeholders (Commercial, Finance, Marketing).
Experience
* Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in business, finance, or supply chain management.
* 4+ years experience in Demand Planning.
* Excellent Excel knowledge and experience in using it for Demand Planning.
* Demonstrated analytical and conceptual problem-solving ability; excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
* Ability to multi-task, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure with autonomy.
* Proven agility to take information from multiple sources to build an accurate picture of demand.
* Management experience an advantage.
Responsibilities
* Manage demand forecasts based on sales patterns, business trends, new opportunities, marketing plans etc.
* Work closely with stakeholders both internally and B2B customers to improve forecast accuracy.
* Maintain demand plan in excel to ensure cost effective product ordering, maintain excellent stock availability, taking account of product lead times, to meet customer demands.
* Manage and support Supply Planner, work in close co-operation, share relevant information, support growth and manage objectives.
* Successfully communicate and agree forecast and inventory estimations to internal/external stakeholders.
* Supply planning, work with Supply Planner and broader operations team to plan supply, based on information provided, such as lead times, MOQ, stock balancing between warehouses, etc.
* Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets and business strategies and predict how they will affect demand and product orders.
* Address a variety of demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
* Work in conjunction with Supply Planner to manage, reserve and move stock between warehouses to ensure availability for key opportunities.
* Work cross functionally to produce NPD order volumes, identifying variant preferences taking account of B2B and D2C volume needs, launch volumes, company growth – UK and US based warehouses and re-order timelines as well as efficient order volumes.
* Monitor, report on and actively manage slow moving product list.
* Regularly review individual products and ranges for potential discontinuation.
* Develop and manage S&OP process with exposure to senior management team.
* Assist in risk assessment and mitigation activities.
* Work closely with the wider operations team to solve problems as they arise.
* Schedule and lead forecast meetings with all relevant stakeholders.
* Monitor and report on demand plan success against key KPI’s and SLA’s.
* Identify areas of potential improvement and recommend action plans.
