What is the role?
To assist the Senior Youth Worker in the delivery of community-based, group learning programmes to young people in a variety of locations.
Extra Information:
South Ayrshire Council Thriving Communities are currently recruiting Youth Worker positions within the following localities:
1. Post A: Ayr North - 3 posts x 3 hours per week (annual salary: £1,811 to £1,898), 6 posts x 2 hours per week (annual salary: £1,207 to £1,265)
2. Post B: Ayr South - 5 hours per week (annual salary: £3,018 to £3,164)
3. Post C: North & South Carrick - 2 posts x 3.5 hours per week (annual salary: £2,113 to £2,214), 1 post x 3 hours per week (annual salary: £1,811 to £1,898), 1 post x 2.5 hours per week (annual salary: £1,509 to £1,582), 3 posts x 2 hours per week (annual salary: £1,207 to £1,265)
4. Post D: Troon & Prestwick - 10 posts x 2 hours per week (annual salary: £1,207 to £1,265)
This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly, the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
