Job Description Job Title: NDT Inspector / Process Wash Operator Working Pattern: Full-time 2 Shift Pattern (Morning / Afternoon) Working Location: Derby What you will be doing An exciting opportunity has arisen for an NDT Inspector/Process Wash Operative to join the Components and Modules team in the Experimental Operations business that is part of Civil ET&S based in Derby. We are at the cutting edge of civil aviation, developing the next generation of sustainable travel, whether that be through insertion of enhancements to our current engine offerings, revolutionary technology demonstrator programmes such as the UltraFan Project or exploring how we can utilise emerging technologies such as Electrification and Hydrogen in the civil aerospace market. Responsibilities As an NDT Inspector/Process Wash Operative, this role will focus on the processing of parts through our wash line and identification of defects through Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) on a range of components, working to instructions, specifications & standards. Applying appropriate Health and Safety practice and maintaining a safe environment at all times is vital and working as part of an integrated flexible team to achieving targets is critical to our success. • Process parts in line with the Process Instruction Manuals (PIMs) utilising the appropriate techniques and chemicals in the wash processing area. • Carrying out the NDT inspection of components using FPI techniques. • Responsible for maintaining processing in areas, completing daily inspections and control checks, replenishing tanks, etc. • Updating SAP as the parts are processed through the area.
