We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Financial Controller to lead the Ritter Courivaud Finance team and provide support to the Managing Director and management team. This role is part of the Ritter Courivaud management team, reporting directly to the Musgrave Finance Acquisition Controller.

Key responsibilities include:
1. Management Reporting: Ensure that key performance reporting is accessible, user-focused, and action-oriented. Deliver weekly reports/period management accounts with an understanding of key trends and ensuring all material variances are understood and communicated. Identify causes of issues and suggest remedies to same. Responsible for presenting business updates at all relevant meetings and reporting on all the key metrics of business performance.
2. Forecasting, Budgeting and Strategic Planning: Lead the business in the completion of the Budget, Forecast, and 3-Year Plans. Ensure effective processes are in place to collect all relevant information and that these processes are continually reviewed, with necessary improvements made. Ensure that the information provided by finance in this area satisfies both local management and Group requirements and is accurate. Ensure that appropriate information and presentations are produced in a timely manner to allow for detailed review by both the local management team and Group.
3. Financial Control, Compliance and Governance: Management of the balance sheet to include all reconciliations necessary for period and quarterly close processes. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and identify and escalate risk when required. Support internal audits, coordinating information requests and providing necessary documentation. Support external audits ensuring a successful year-end audit, with all areas of judgement appropriately supported and alignment on all key decisions with Group.
4. Commercial Business Support: Provide insight and analysis to support project work, for example customer pricing. Proactively support commercial decisions and add value to the decision-making process. Support the development and execution of the business strategy and annual business plan. Support the MD and management team in the development and execution of strategic initiatives.
5. People: Lead the Finance team both direct and indirect reports, to ensure that they have the skill sets, resources and support needed to achieve their objectives, and that they operate in a manner consistent with the ethos and values of the organisation.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
1. Professional Accounting Qualification.
2. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field.
3. 5+ years’ experience in a senior Finance Management position.
4. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with experience in financial modelling and data analysis.
5. Ability to work as a trusted colleague with the MD and management team.
6. Proven record of managing and developing Finance professionals.
7. Track record of achieving results through others and inspiring collaborative solutions.
8. Concise and effective written and verbal communication skills.
9. Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and corporate finance.
10. Excellent organisational project management and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
11. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to handle confidential insight and information with utmost discretion.
12. Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
13. Ability to work independently, take initiative, learn quickly and proactively anticipate the needs of the MD and management team.
14. Knowledge of corporate governance and regulatory compliance requirements.
15. Experience with Finance Transformation/implementation of new ERP, while not a requirement, would be considered an advantage.
