Knowledge, Training & Experience
Essential criteria
1. HNC in Building services plus specialist training and experience to graduate level, or equivalent gained through a relevant apprenticeship plus additional specialist knowledge and experience gained through specialist training, short courses and C.P.D.
2. Authorised/Responsible and/or Competent Person in one or more of the following specialisms: LV Electrical Systems, HV Electrical Systems, Heating and Ventilation Systems, Decontamination, Safe Water Systems, Medical Gas Pipeline Systems (MGPS), Confined Spaces.
3. Extensive knowledge of the electrical and/or mechanical and/or plumbing systems in NHS premises.
4. In-depth knowledge of all relevant legislation and technical guidance.
5. In-depth knowledge of all relevant Health Technical Memorandum’s (HTM’s).
6. Significant experience working in a complex engineering/building environment.
Technical Skills Competencies
Essential criteria
1. Skilled in maintenance, fault finding, test & repair work on a very wide range of complex engineering services & equipment, with the ability to work unassisted in varying, often technical environments whilst complying with Health & Safety/environmental regulations and standards.
Other requirements specific to the role

1. Participate in outside of normal hours on-call rota.
2. Full U.K driving licence.

1. Be able to speak English as necessary to undertake the role.
