Nexos are looking for a Senior Planner to join our team, this is full time, permanent role based here in Aberdeen
In this role you will be delivering all planning activities within a contract or project. You will play a key role in advising the Project/Contract Manager and key stakeholders on contract performance, providing detailed plans, forecasts, histograms, control measures, S-curves, and reports. Ensuring plans and deliverables are issued on time and to the highest quality standards, you will also provide trending and schedule risk analysis with clear narrative. Building and maintaining strong working relationships with client project controls counterparts is essential, along with demonstrating high levels of professional conduct and discipline.
As part of this role, you will attend all planning meetings, develop WBS, baselines, and schedules, and regularly monitor progress. Identifying and reporting planning risks, supporting management of change, growth, and variation, and providing comprehensive planning reports will be key responsibilities. Your reports will include analysis of schedule attainment, SPI/CPI, resource levels, critical paths, float, and other key metrics, ensuring accurate project tracking.
Collaboration is crucial, as you will provide support and training to team members and offer planning cover where needed. You will ensure compliance with planning procedures and templates, contributing to periodic audits to maintain consistency. A strong understanding of Nexos systems, including P6 and the Slingshot digital eco-system, is essential, along with maintaining a daily interface with project teams and project controls to ensure accurate reporting and reliable data.
Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
5 years+ previous experience in a Planning role.
Experience of “cradle to grave” project lifecycles.
Strong working knowledge of project controls theory and practices.
Demonstrable Primavera P6 knowledge and experience (Enterprise Client)
Excellent Excel skills
Desirable:
HNC or higher qualifications preferred
