Position Description Title: Quality Inspector, Droitwich
Reports to: Quality Engineer, Droitwich

In this role, you will examine, inspect, and measure goods and materials used for assembly of plant rooms, HVAC units, pump rooms, and general mechanical/electrical contracting. You will be proficient with using a multitude of test and precision measuring equipment, as well as manual hand tools such as torque wrenches, cutters, pliers, screwdrivers, and power tools. You will demonstrate excellent judgement skills, passing or referring inspection results and quality issues to the Quality Engineer and/or line management along with providing ideas for improvement and remedial works when applicable. A key pre-requisite will be holding the production team to account to ensure that quality standards are maintained and not allowed to be accepted into build without due authorisation.
The Role:
1. Inspect and measure goods in goods inward and in build within the Assembly environment in Droitwich.
2. Passing, referring, or failing goods in the Assembly as appropriate, keeping the Quality Engineer and/or Line Management informed with regular updates.
3. Ability to use a multitude of hand tools including screwdrivers, pliers, torque wrenches, power tools, as well as precision measuring equipment.
4. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to work area and processes.
5. Ability to manually handle products weighing up to 25kg, using lift aides where appropriate.
6. Visiting UK supply chain from time to time to assess goods in manufacture and/or awaiting final inspection.
7. Capability of reading and interpreting engineering drawings, layouts, and related documentation at a high level.
8. Capable of completing engineering documentation and inspection reports including Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Pre-Delivery Inspection Reports, and other Quality related documentation.
You will have:
1. A university degree in Engineering or a technical degree from a Mechanical Engineering program.
2. At least 5 years of experience in industry-related direct sales, particularly in solution and value-based sales.
3. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
4. In-depth knowledge of HVAC solutions and systems, including HVAC product selection software.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
6. A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently.
7. Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to manage conflicts within various organizational structures.
8. The capability to simplify complex problems, conduct root cause analysis, and provide clear, well-thought-out recommendations.
9. Team-oriented leadership skills with a proactive approach.
10. An ability to communicate openly and authentically in all situations.
