Brief description of Roles & responsibilities An approved electrician or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience commissioning a wide range of smoke ventilation, you will be required to work with and site supervise members of the team with different skill levels and help those individuals maximise their own skill sets. You will have a keen work ethic and be willing to go that extra mile for the company and the customer to get the job over the line and be able to inspire others to achieve the same high standards Manage projects to ensure they are completed as per scheduled requirements. Communicate effectively with customers and staff at all levels and ensure that the reputation of the client is maintained throughout. To be willing to drive to work all over the UK as required including periodic stop overs and overtime Main Duties To be able to wire, fix & commission a range of smoke ventilation systems To ensure smoke ventilation Systems are able to be fully operated on every condition listed on the commissioning report to eliminate the possibility of failure to comply To have a clear understanding of all the legislation & BS that apply to the industry To ensure that all work by yourself and others complies with latest standards and guidance To be able to wire, fix & commission a wide range of smoke ventilation products from a range of manufacturers To be able to manage large or small installations and ensure that the team you are working with are working to the correct design and standards as per the drawings provided. To be able to communicate with other trades to ensure smooth completion of a project To ensure their own conduct reflects the strictest level of professionalism and confidentiality so that this can be emulated To ensure the company vehicle, should you be provided with one is checked regularly as per company policy, and the office advised. JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS NVQ Electrical installations or equivalent SSTS or Higher JIB / ECS card holder Span Set Pasma IPAF Working knowledge of ADB Working Knowledge of BS EN 12101 Working Knowledge of BS 9999, BS 9991 & BS 7346 pt 8 SE Controls training programme from level 1 to level 6 Working knowledge of Colt, SCS, FDS and other equipment
