£36,000 - £40,000 per annum.
Brook Street Social Care are excited to be recruiting a new Service Manager in South Wales for a 4-bedroom residential home for children with learning difficulties.
Our client is seeking an experienced Child Manager who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people and has a proven track record of managing a children's residential service successfully. The successful candidate will have previous management experience of working with children and young people with potential additional needs and/or challenging behaviour.
The Role:
As the Children's Service Manager, you will work very closely with young people that may display potential additional needs and/or challenging behaviour and are required to be able to develop excellent rapport built on trust. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the young people are supported on a practical basis to ensure that they are prepared for a bright and successful future.
You too will ensure that the highest standard of care and support is provided to the young people's emotional, physical and behavioural needs. This will include care planning and risk assessing on a regular basis. Within the home there is emphasis on whilst encouraging engagement with education and training to help them reach their full potential!
As the service manager you will be responsible for all aspects of running the home, leading a staff team and ensuring that compliance is met in accordance with Care Inspectorate Wales regulatory requirements. You will be managing a successful team and ensuring the team receive supervision and are fully supported and developed within their roles.
Qualifications:
A QCF Level 5 Health and Social Care in Children and Young People qualification is essential.
Experience/Requirements:
Management experience in working with Children and Young People
Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
An understanding and knowledge of RISCA
A strong work ethic and a want to deliver outstanding outcomes
A passion for delivering high quality, person-centred care
Compassionate, approachable and honest person with integrity
Be able to analyse and scrutinise documents to provide a detailed and evaluated report
Organised and self-driven whilst being a strong team player
