Clinical Lead Acute Dietitian - Nutrition Support

This post involves being the clinical lead and expert in Nutrition support for the site and taking a lead in a specific area of nutrition support which can be agreed with the successful appointee. You will manage a caseload of complex acute patients in the capacity of clinical expert and team lead for the site acute team, working closely with the wider MDT and Health Board wide acute dietetic service. You will inform guidance, pathways and policy in the designated area of nutrition support working closely as an integral member of the acute dietetic leadership team.
You will operationally line manage delegated members of the Dietetic team, support student training, and the education and governance of dietetic assistant practitioners and support workers.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Knowledge
* HCPC registration with a Degree in Dietetics
* Expert clinical knowledge of acute nutritional care and dietetics, qualifications acquired through specialist training or equivalent clinical experience to Master's level or equivalent.
* Completed the BDA PENG programme, or equivalent
* Knowledge of, and ability to apply evidence-based methodology to support improvement, and service delivery
* Expert knowledge of clinical guidance and policy relevant to the specialist area
* Master's qualification - Advanced Clinical Practice
Experience
* Extensive and broad clinical dietetic delivery in acute dietetics
* Significant experience of managing a highly complex and unpredictable clinical caseload using advanced clinical reasoning
* Line management

* Planning and delivering specialist clinical knowledge-based education and training

* Delegation to unregistered staff
