Learning Support Assistant job summary
Keyingham Primary School is part of The Consortium Academy Trust. We are ambitious about the future - creating learning environments and excellence in teaching and learning that provide our children and young people with the best chance at a successful future. Coupled with this is the commitment, care and investment in our people, who we believe are our greatest asset. If you are a team player who is looking for a varied and interesting new career opportunity within an Enhanced Resource Provision, then we want to hear from you!
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Support Assistant with either a background of Special Educational Needs or Early Years.
As an LSA, you will support pupils from our Early Years setting by learning through play, communication and the development of increasing independence. You will support other team members through planning, resourcing and assessing on a day to day basis alongside ensuring robust systems of safeguarding and pupil safety are ensured at all times. The LSA will be fully aware of the learners within the Enhanced Resource Provision (ERP) and their individual developmental and academic starting points. The LSA will provide bespoke support for SEMH, communication and Autistic needs within Foundation Stage and the ERP. It is anticipated that they will be flexible and use their initiative to ensure that all opportunities to support all learners are maximised during the course of the school day and beyond.
About You
The successful candidate will have previous experience of working within an Enhanced Resource Provision, Special Educational Needs setting or Early Years Environment. Candidates will also be educated to GCSE standard pass rates with a minimum of a Level 2 relevant qualification.
What WE can Offer YOU
In return for your skills and experience, we provide a supportive and friendly environment to develop and thrive. We offer all staff access to an excellent pension (TPS/LGPS); a generous annual leave entitlement with additional shutdown days over the Christmas period; staff development opportunities; free onsite car parking; and a supportive induction programme.
Commitment to safeguarding
Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff, volunteers and trustees to share this commitment. An appointment will be made subject to satisfactory references and enhanced DBS disclosure, in line with the usual terms and conditions of employment at The Consortium Academy Trust.
