Senior QA Officer, Pharmaceutical
Location: Stevenage (fully onsite x5 days a week)
Type: Permanent
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience; possible scope on this for exceptional candidates.

Russell Taylor Group is working exclusively with an established pharmaceutical manufacturing company looking to recruit an experienced Senior QA Officer to work closely with the QA Manager and deputize when needed. This role is crucial for the development of the QMS and the positive change culture that the QM is introducing; this is a great time to join a company on the rise!
The Role:
The Quality Assurance Officer will be responsible for quality management, quality assurance, and quality auditing tasks related to pharmaceutical products, including:
1. Ensuring products are fit for purpose before release for use or commercial sale.
2. Maintaining and improving QMS performance by ensuring deviations, CAPA, and change control are progressed in a compliant and timely manner.
3. Reviewing and approving all other items in accordance with internal procedures.
4. Investigating and communicating customer or supplier complaints satisfactorily.
5. Timely handling of all customer requests and queries in line with company procedures.
6. Participating in or hosting internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory audits.
7. Authoring and approving routine QMS activities.
8. Performing Root Cause Analysis using problem-solving tools such as Fishbone and 5 Whys.
9. Authoring, reviewing, and approving Controlled Documents in accordance with procedures.
10. Supporting the delivery of site GMP training as required.
11. Conducting the internal audit programme.
12. Supporting the maintenance of the site QMS and facilitating reporting of relevant KPIs within the department and across the site.
The Person:
The ideal candidate will have:
1. A degree in a STEM-related subject.
2. Experience in batch review and batch release.
3. Essential GMP QA experience, ideally in a pharmaceutical setting or similar.
4. Experience in CAPA, deviations, change controls, and internal auditing (preferred).
5. Strong interpersonal skills and good communication abilities.
6. Strong written and verbal English language skills due to the nature of the role.
