What is the Graduate Programme?
Its 2 years, the core purpose of this role is to deliver a safe, efficient and resilient asset base. Ensuring that all equipment remains compliant in line with the policy and regulation. To deliver to core service standards and ensure the passenger experience is as smooth as possible by taking accountability for the applicable asset portfolio. Exploring a variety of engineering areas with the convenience of being on an amazing single campus.

* Influencing and implementing best practice across GAL to ensure the operational efficient use of resources.
* Work with the engineering teams of highly skilled Technicians to deliver objectives and meet departmental targets.
* Ensure optimal performance of asset base including performance improvements to improve system availability and meet targets.
* Drive EH&S culture across all teams to reduce incidents & promote a safe working environment.
* Produces effective communication and reports to all stakeholders including other GAL departments, airlines and retailers.

Do you have what we're looking for?
* Minimum 2:1 or above in a relevant Engineering / science discipline? (graduated 2024 or projected for 2025)
* Ability to work with technical professionals across multiple disciplines.
* Knowledge and understanding of reporting metrics and experience in manipulating data sets into reportable outputs.
* Understanding of the requirements for the successful participation, planning and implementation of minor project works.
* Understanding of stakeholder aspirations and balancing technical requirements and financial constraints.
* Basic overview of Statutory Regulations, British Standards and industry best practice.
* Ability to manage consultant engagement and deliverables to achieve desirable outcomes.
* Work towards working knowledge of Safe Systems of Work and regulatory and statutory compliance (e.g. electrical, confined spaces, hot works, etc.)
* Team working- you'll enjoy working in a team environment, sharing ideas, and collaborating with colleagues as well as other graduates.

Selection Process
1. An online application that will involve a CV - closing date 7th November 2024
2. Online assessments to demonstrate your strengths and the necessary behaviours to be successful
3. If successful a virtual 1st stage screening call
4. An assessment centre with group and individual activities as well as a behaviour-based interview with the opportunity to meet managers and explore the airport. Dates to be confirmed for February / March 2025.
