Role: Pastoral Support Assistant
Location: Syon Manor College, Isleworth
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Pastoral Support Assistant to join our close-knit team at Syon Manor College, part of Options Autism.

As a Pastoral Support Assistant you will connect directly with the brilliant pupils we care for, helping to make sure they get the very best from their education. Each individual has a diagnosis of Autism and may have additional needs. You will help support the class teacher/tutor in order to ensure the delivery of a high-quality education for all students. You will support the teacher and/or tutor to all education policies and procedures are implemented in full. To support the class teacher and/or tutor in organising the classroom, its resources, student groupings and displays to provide a stimulating learning situation appropriate for students with autistic spectrum disorder.
Every day will be different, but you will have all the support you need, with lots of skills and experience to draw on along with valuable advice and guidance too.
Taking a responsive and caring approach, you may be running classroom activities, leading outdoor experiences or supervising students as they explore further afield.
Our schools are built on great teamwork and mutual support. Syon Manor College is a new post-16 provision for students with autism and complex needs. The college will offer a broad curriculum of academic, vocational and life skills learning including BTECs, GCSEs, Functional Skills and ASDAN accreditations which will work towards Employability or Independence and Duke of Edinburgh qualifications.
