Take part in student inductions welcoming student to NLaG Deliver teaching sessions to students. This may be bedside teaching (in small groups observing student history taking and examination skills and giving feedback), case-based discussions, delivering seminars, teaching physical examination skills etc Use Trust systems to identify patients for bedside teaching and obtain consent ensuring patients understand what is required Assist with simulation training for 5th year students providing detailed feedback to students Write and suggest new scenarios for simulation in liaison with the Lead Skills Facilitator Support the Clinical Skills Team in the delivery of mandatory training and procedural skills training Create, update or refresh teaching presentations as required Develop teaching materials/sessions in response to student feedback and identified delivery gaps Deliver 5th year Carry the Bleep, Medical Emergencies and Surgical Emergencies sessions using (and updating existing resources) to help prepare students for F1 Deliver teaching via MSTeams as required Deliver BLS training for students if RCUK instructor status held or be willing to work towards accredited certification in order to do this Plan, co-ordinate and deliver revision sessions recruiting faculty as appropriate Assist in any assessment and examination as required Deliver virtual simulation training (via virtual reality headsets; training will be given). Postholders will be expected to raise awareness of undergraduate medical education with junior doctor colleagues and build up a range of contacts and support for the students to enhance the student experience Postholders will need to undertake the HYMS Tutor Development training and other training relevant to the role Feedback to the Clinical Dean/Schools regarding their block structure, core topics and learning outcomes and feed into the continuous review and improvement of the curriculum.
