To liaise with production to ensure that all cleaning schedules and standards are achieved and maintained, timely completion of all cleaning records and documentation. Undertake daily and weekly deep cleaning of plant and facilities. To supervise and manage the hygiene staff and maintain ongoing staff training. To promote a team working environment within the hygiene department across all shift working patterns. Review hygiene staffing levels, including planning and implementation of workplace rota’s. Complete all relevant information booking on the TMS system in the absence of the Hygiene Manager. Carry out the deep cleaning of the production equipment & hygiene equipment over each weekend as per the current cleaning schedule including environmental cleaning. Liaise with the Departmental Managers regarding changes to the production plan / equipment availability, hygiene resource to meet the cleaning schedule, schedule in the cleaning of the equipment to meet the production plan. Ensure all Avara hygiene standards that are set are trained out and maintained ensuring all hygiene staff are completing the cleaning schedules to the correct time specification and standards. Responsible for the application of all company procedures and policies within the hygiene department. Responsible for reviewing swab results and investigating repeat fails, ensuring that corrective actions are put in place and completed. Liaise with the Engineering department to review outstanding actions / repairs and ensure post engineering cleans are performed to standard. Establish effective handovers between each shift. All issues are identified and recorded on the hygiene shift report and verbally communicated. Responsible for the correct chemical application and quantities being used including chemical titration checks Responsible for the availability of hygiene equipment to meet the business demands and cleaning schedule. Holiday / absence cover for Hygiene Manager. Responsible for overseeing Hygiene audits and feeding back on improvements and corrective actions are put in place and completed. What do I need to be successful? Essential Experienced Hygiene Operative. Experience of working within a FMCG environment. Supervisory experience. Knowledge of BRCGS Desirable General understanding of basic food microbiology. Experience of poultry processing industry Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements. Knowledge of COSHH Benefits
