This post of Teacher of Computing and Computer Science would be suitable for an ECT or a more experienced teacher, and would offer a great opportunity teaching throughout the Key Stages. This is a full-time permanent role with an anticipated start date of January 2025, or sooner if available to start before then.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and abilities:
* Ability to teach GCSE and A Level Computer Science
* Excellent Python programming skills
* Ability to teach GCSE iMedia
* Excellent command of computing skills and the ability to demonstrate these across the age and ability range
* Excellent classroom management skills
* Ability to enthuse and motivate students
* Ability to support whole school staff IT training
* Understanding of Computing National Curriculum
* Requirements of GCSE and A level specifications
* Appropriate teaching and learning methodologies
* Successful teaching and ITT record of successful and productive teaching practice
* Degree or other appropriate qualification in Computer Science
* Secondary QTS or moving towards
* Evidence of recent relevant training
