The Role Develop the knowledge and skills of the workforce. Create and manage the communications plan. Design and implement a learning and organisational development function aligned with business objectives. Collaborate with HR on organisational development initiatives, including policy and cultural development. Enhance skills and support individuals in reaching their potential, contributing to employee satisfaction, and aiding in the attraction and retention of a quality workforce. Develop annual training plans in line with Group standards to support the growth of the business, making best use of resources and budget. Produce training material for in-house courses ranging from HSE to HR and Operational. Work with HR-on-HR initiatives including policy and culture. Standardise and coordinate the training where practical across multiple sites. Lead the training team to deliver a coordinated, well-respected service. Drive improvement within the team and how it supports the business to ensure a modern training approach that enables the various departments to operate effectively. Accountable for ensuring Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) are relevant to the task. Maintain employee training records. Provide coaching and mentoring for Line Managers. Be an advocate for the company with educational bodies to effectively manage apprenticeships and interns development programme. Schedule training sessions to minimise disruption to the shop floor, while ensuring that employees achieve the levels of skill necessary for their jobs. Ensure efficient use of company resources. The Person Must have previous experience in a similar role. Organisational development experience. HR Experience-CIPD Qualifications. Train the Trainer qualification and experience writing training materials and delivering. Experience working in a training environment, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
