We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Asset Management Team as a Technical Support Officer.
The role:
This is a career grade role that enables entry at either Trainee Technical Support Officer, Technical Support Officer or Technical Officer. Where entry is at a Trainee Technical Support Officer or Technical Support Officer the role provides the opportunity to progress to becoming a fully qualified Surveyor or equivalent, depending on the training undertaken.
The post holder will assist the Building Compliance Maintenance Manager to support the delivery of assurance, information and management control regarding the building safety and management of properties within ESC general fund. They will assist in delivery of reactive and planned preventative capital works.
What you will need:
You will have experience of maintenance schedules, and reactive and planned maintenance plans for building services and/or compliance. You will have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with good organisational skills and the ability to plan and coordinate your own tasks and programmes. You will use your own initiative, being self-motivated, adaptable and enthusiastic, happy to work as part of an established team.
You will have relevant experience within building services or a similar compliance background, and have the qualifications necessary to gain access to the relevant high education courses as part of this career graded post.
You will also have access to your own vehicle, or can be mobile across the district as and when needed.
