Job Purpose
To perform the role of Duty Manager for performances in the main theatre and studio venue.
Key Task Areas
* Follow opening-up procedures.
* To monitor the appearance of the venue, carry out building checks and deal with any cleaning issues/reporting any maintenance concerns.
* Ensure bars and FOH areas are ready for service in conjunction with the bar staff.
* Brief volunteers and deploy at the start of the shift.
* Supervise bar staff and volunteers throughout their shifts.
* Deal with comments, feedback and complaints when duty managing in an efficient and friendly manner using good judgement within practices and guidelines.
* Carry out responsibilities during any emergency evacuations following the company procedures.
* Monitor bar stock levels and supervise the restocking of the bars.
* Monitor and report to the Customer Experience Manager stock levels for ordering.
* Monitor and report on merchandise sales and maintain stock levels.
* Make sure all company cash handling procedures are closely adhered to, and assist with the reconciling and banking of all FOH income and work closely with other members of the team to minimise stock and cash losses.
* Complete Front of House Show reports at the end of each session.
* Ensure the security of the venue by following all locking-up procedures

Additional Information
The minimum age requirement is 18 years due to the age-restricted sales element of the role.
Hours to be agreed with the successful candidate(s). There are a varying number of hours available, including the busier schedule over December.
Start dates available between September 2024 and December 2024, to be agreed with the successful candidate(s).
Contract end date: 15th January 2025. However, this position could lead to the option of an ongoing casual contract.
