Contract Type: Permanent - Evening shift 17.15pm to 04.00am Monday to Thursday
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our site at Cookstown covering all aspects of Electrical and Mechanical maintenance and fitting / repair work.
1. Maintain a planned servicing and preventative maintenance programme across the site.
2. Undertake repairs of electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
3. Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
4. Respond to breakdowns and complete repairs in a timely manner taking account of production schedules.
5. Make periodic inspections of equipment to find defects before breakdowns occur.
6. Diagnose problems and then complete repair or arrange replacement as required.
7. Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
8. Liaise with Production Manager regarding the purchase of necessary materials from approved suppliers at the best price.
9. Communicate with the Shift Manager and keep them updated on progress of repair jobs.
10. Comply with Health & Safety requirements and assist with the implementation of company procedures and standards.
11. Monitor employees' work performance regarding correct use of plant and equipment and adherence to safe systems of work.
12. Keep Manager advised of plant, machinery, and equipment failures that require production downtime for maintenance.
13. Ensure all servicing and maintenance records are maintained.
14. Any other duties, within reason and capability, as agreed with the Production Manager.

Experience / Skills Required
Essential Skills and Criteria
* Time served in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
* Manufacturing or Industrial background
* CNC Machine operations experience (preferred)
* Pre-planned / reactive maintenance
* Planning and organising skills
* Problem-solving capabilities
* Ability to act decisively
* Excellent time management
* Ability to work in a logical, systematic manner
