Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive Registered Head Veterinary Nurse to lead their teams across three Inverness practices. In this pivotal role, you will oversee nurse consultations, theatre nursing, and inpatient care, while managing a team of veterinary care assistants and a dispensary assistant. The main branch, situated in the vibrant heart of the town, offers the dynamic atmosphere of a bustling practice, while two branches provide opportunities for sole-charge consultations.

You will be responsible for supervising and mentoring veterinary care assistants, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources and adherence to best practices. Oversee rota management, holiday scheduling, and performance appraisals for nursing staff. Maintain high standards of infection prevention and control, in line with regulatory requirements. Facilitate regular team meetings and training sessions to promote collaboration and professional development. Manage inventory and stock control processes, liaising with suppliers as necessary to ensure adequate supplies.
