The Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences (SIPBS) wishes to appoint a suitably qualified member of staff as a Teaching Associate in Pharmacy Practice. This is available as a full-time post.
SIPBS is ranked in the top fifty globally for pharmacy and pharmacology. The successful candidate will join an energetic Institute committed to bold and innovative research and education to deliver MPharm graduates who will be outstanding pharmacy professionals who are experts in medicines, safe and effective practitioners, and able to maintain and improve their professional performance. Additionally, you will work with postgraduate students studying for the Practice Certificate in Independent Prescribing, MSc in Clinical Pharmacy & MSc Advanced Clinical Pharmacy Practice.
Our MPharm and IP teaching are accredited by the General Pharmaceutical Council. Teaching in biomedical sciences is similarly accredited by both the Institute of Biomedical Sciences and the Society of Biology. In REF2021, SIPBS was part of a submission that was the highest-performing Scottish institution in Allied Health Professions, Dentistry, Nursing and Pharmacy (Unit of Assessment 3).
You will ideally have a degree in pharmacy, and current registration with the GPhC. In addition, you will also have suitable practice experience in hospital and/or community/primary care pharmacy.
