Loose Connections is seeking a skilled and creative Intermediate Level WordPress Designer/ Developer to join our team. This role primarily involves designing and developing high-quality WordPress websites that meet our clients’ needs and expectations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both front-end and back-end development, with a keen eye for design and user experience. The role will suit an individual with previous experience (minimum 2 years) of working for a digital marketing agency, who is ambitious to take the next step in their career and has a desire for progression.

Roles & Responsibilities
* Design website concepts using Adobe Photoshop.
* Presentation of design concepts using Adobe InDesign.
* Design and develop responsive WordPress websites from concept to completion.
* Customise WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific project requirements.
* Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing and user-friendly websites.
* Ensure websites are optimised for speed, performance, and SEO.
* Troubleshoot and resolve website issues and bugs.
* Maintain and update existing WordPress websites as needed.
* Stay up to date with the latest web design and development trends and best practices.
* Setting up hosting and domain names as per client’s requirements.
* Provide technical support and training to clients as required.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
* Proven experience in designing and developing WordPress websites.
* Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
* Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.
* Strong understanding of responsive design principles.
* Familiarity with SEO best practices.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Experience with graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
* Experience with Elementor page builder.
Experience (Desired, but not essential)
* Knowledge of other web development frameworks and CMS platforms.
* Experience with e-commerce platforms such as WooCommerce.
* PHP coding and writing of bespoke plugins.
* Previous experience in a similar role or in a digital agency environment.
* Setup of web hosting account within a reseller environment.
* Experience with Cloudflare.
* Managing DNS records.
Salary and Benefits:
* Salary: £27k-£35 k per year (Depending on Experience).
* Core Hours Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 5.30pm and Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm.
