Salary: Up to 75,000 + Access to vehicle

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to lead and manage the engineering department. As the Head of Engineering, you will oversee all technical aspects of structural design and installation, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will play a crucial role in delivering complex architectural metalwork projects and act as the key technical point of contact for clients, Contracts Managers, and site teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the engineering department, managing all structural design and technical requirements for architectural metalwork projects.
2. Provide technical leadership and ensure that all designs meet safety, compliance, and quality standards.
3. Collaborate with Contracts Managers, site teams, and clients to ensure technical specifications are met.
4. Oversee the production of engineering drawings and specifications.
5. Conduct structural calculations and risk assessments to ensure the integrity of designs.
6. Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff.
7. Support in project planning, budgeting, and resourcing to meet deadlines and client expectations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
1. Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
2. Significant experience in architectural metalwork or structural steel.
3. Strong proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla, SolidWorks).
4. In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations and standards.
5. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
6. Strong understanding of structural calculations and design principles.
