Our mission is to create a fun and engaging grass roots environment where kids can develop their fundamental physical literacy skills based in handball, whilst learning the values of teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Job Description:
Expansion is underway and we are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Mini Handball Coaches to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a passion for creating a life long love of sports and ideally experience working with young children, with the ability to create a positive and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver fun and engaging Mini Handball sessions for children aged 7-11.
Teach fundamental handball skills, including passing, dribbling, shooting, and basic game strategies all within a game based environment.
Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where all children feel welcome and encouraged.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during sessions.
Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about their child’s progress and any relevant information.
Collaborate with other coaches and staff to plan events, games, and activities.
Maintain and manage equipment, ensuring everything is in good condition and available for sessions.
Requirements:
Previous experience coaching or teaching young children, preferably in handball or another sport.
An understanding of the game of Handball (CPD provided)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire young children.
Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
First aid certification (or willingness to obtain one).
DBS Check
Preferred Qualifications:
Coaching certification in handball or another sport.
Experience in organising and managing sports events or activities for children.
