You will also be part of an equal rota for emergency care (1 in 6 weekends and bank holidays) with 2 days off in lieu for any weekends worked. The practice is open to considering part-time applicants and is flexible with working hours.
The Branch Clinic offers a welcoming and warm environment for both staff and clients. The clinic is designed to provide a home-from-home feeling, ensuring patients receive high-quality, personalized care in a calm and comforting space. As the Lead Veterinary Surgeon you will oversee a dedicated team, providing leadership while maintaining a high standard of veterinary care. Your responsibilities will include managing a varied caseload, including medical and surgical procedures, as well as diagnostics. You will be key in fostering continuity of care for patients, and your leadership skills will contribute to maintaining a stable and consistent team. The practice encourages clinical freedom and growth, so you will have the opportunity to develop your skills further.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS) with practical experience in veterinary medicine and diagnostics. Previous leadership or sole charge experience is advantageous, as well as familiarity with working towards KPIs and managing a branch team. The practice is looking for someone who is enthusiastic, passionate about veterinary care, and committed to enhancing their skills.
