Good Energy is looking for a senior copywriter and content strategist to develop and elevate our brand voice. This role offers the opportunity to craft impactful product messaging, develop strategic content plans aligned with business goals, and lead a talented team of content creators and designers. You'll collaborate with senior marketing leaders to create and optimise content for digital advertising, email marketing, and SEO-driven website copy, driving leads and brand engagement. We're seeking an experienced candidate who can demonstrate expertise in product messaging development and crafting clear, compelling messages that resonate with target audiences.
Responsibilities:
* Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor a small content team, manage agency relationships, and oversee resource planning. Managing agency and external relationships, ensuring high-quality content and timely delivery.
* Content Strategy & Brand: maintain and develop messaging frameworks for all products communications. Create brand-consistent content strategy aligned with business goals, acting as brand custodian and identifying content gaps.
* Content Creation & Optimisation: Working collaboratively with data insight to craft and optimise impactful campaign messaging across all channels, to drive leads and achieve growth objectives for all domestic and business products.
* Staying Current: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, content marketing strategies, and emerging technologies.
What you'll need to succeed
This role demands expertise in advertising standards for "green" marketing, coupled with demonstrable experience in developing substantiated product messaging and managing projects. We're looking for an individual with excellent copywriting skills – adept at simplifying complex information and creating engaging, attention-grabbing content. The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative and driven individual, comfortable working independently and challenging stakeholders. This ideal candidate will be able to identify gaps within marketing funnel and plan resource effectively to deliver all needs. Collaborating across teams to create content that aligns with growth objectives throughout the sales funnel.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about sustainability and with a proven track record in strategic content planning and copywriting, ideally gained within a marketing agency environment. You'll have a solid understanding of advertising regulations related to "green" marketing claims, ensuring all messaging is responsible, accurate, and compliant. Staying up to date with marketing trends and developments in the clean energy and technology space will be crucial to continually refining and improving Good Energy's content strategy. Demonstrable experience in product marketing and sustainability is highly desirable.
Essentials:
* Confident with staying up to date with advertising standards rules and how they relate to marketing sustainable products and making claims around “green” products and services.
* Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing product benefit messaging and fully substantiated marketing claims.
* Demonstrable project management and workload planning.
* Highly collaborative and able to manage stakeholders at all levels, as well as being comfortable working independently.
* You will need to be a passionate, driven person with enthusiasm and be comfortable challenging stakeholders.
* Desire to work and learn quickly in a fast paced, fun and dynamic environment.
* Care about doing a great job and exceeding expectations with the quality of what you do.
