You will be required to stand in as a Grade 1 as and when required.
What will this role achieve?
To work as part of a team in the packing and feeding of biscuits in line with site requirements. As part of this role you will be required to stand in a Grade 1 role which will involve Feedend and Ovens Operating.
The role requires a positive individual with a can-do attitude who is committed to maintaining high standards in production whilst working as part of a dynamic team.
What will be your key deliverables?
* Manually pack products within specifications (includes bending, lifting, stretching)
* Visually check for foreign matter / hazards
* Ensure quality of biscuits being packed is within product specifications
* Ensure adherence to all quality and safety standards.
* Work to a high standard, enabling plants to achieve planned output.
* Report any problems to Packing Manager.
* Ensure housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained.
* Support the Supervisors in the introduction and support of any improvement initiatives.
* Provide a co-ordinated link with all production processes on the line.
Grade 1 stand in responsibilities
* Responsibility for signing data sheets with correct data.
* Deliver the production plan effectively with quality being the priority.
* Lead health and safety standards within the area to ensure all work safely.
* Ensure all health and safety standards are adhered to.
* Deliver products to the defined standard specifications.
* Use of Lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
* Deliver the production plan to maintain customer service levels.
* Demonstrate good communication skills.

Essential
* Basic numerical and literacy knowledge
* Manual dexterity
* Basic communication skills
* Basic problem recognition
* Ownership essential. Must be accountable for own work and area.
* Supportive within the team.
* Be able to multi-task.
* Understand zonal KPI’s (production targets, waste levels and line performance)
Desirable
Previous experience is desirable but not essential, training will be given.
Shift Pattern
Shift B Monday – Friday 37 hours per week. Two-week rolling rota: Week 1: 6am-2pm, Week 2: 2pm-10pm.
