Production Manager
Apsley precision Engineering Ltd have an exciting opportunity to oversee and lead production operations within a growing and forward-thinking sub-contract CNC business maintaining AS9100 aerospace quality standards. Responsibilities include resource management, production planning, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. We are looking for a motivated individual with a passion for driving efficiency and fostering a positive work environment.
Who This Job Would Suit:
Ideal for an experienced production leader with a strong communication and motivational skill set. The role requires problem-solving skills and initiative with the applicant being capable of managing both individuals and teams effectively. Prior experience in production management and familiarity with HSE and quality principles are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
* Management of all production activities within the business ensuring alignment with customer and regulatory requirements.
* Management a team of CNC programmers and machinists, Inspectors, and Stores staff.
* Plan production schedules to meet internal and customer demands, aiming for KPI targets.
* Drive continuous improvement activities to enhance production performance.
* Oversee resource management and performance appraisals to meet business objectives.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience as a Production Manager, with a strong background in CNC operations would be an advantage.
* Exceptional leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
* In-depth knowledge of workshop operations and production processes.
* Strong problem-solving abilities, initiative and attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to positively engage with customers, suppliers and teams within the business.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks efficiently.
* Familiarity with safety protocols and standards in a workshop environment.
* Experience in Continuous Improvement & Quality Control.
* Performance Management skills and adherence to KPI targets
Location - Salisbury
Salary - circa £45k - £55k (dependent on experience).

Permanent – 40 hours per week, with flexibility 0730am - 1600pm (Mon-Fri)
