As a Planning & Building Control Assistant you will be primarily responsible for providing administrative support to Planning Officers and Building Control Surveyors but there may also be the opportunity to have a small caseload of planning applications and to assist colleagues investigating enforcement matters.
To succeed as a Planning & Building Control Assistant you must have good communication skills and an ability to negotiate effectively to resolve conflicting interests. You should also be able to prepare reports, manage your workload effectively to meet performance targets and have competent ICT skills.
